Lord Alan’s son commissioned this portrait bust of his father as a gift of respect and thanks. Unlike many of the portrait busts that I have created, I had the opportunity to have Big Al sit for me at my studio in Nottingham Road, KZN midlands.
A Portrait bust (head and shoulders) sculpture of someone special - deceased or living - can be commissioned.
This is pure bronze - created via a lengthy expensive process with Moulten Bronze. This will last forever outdoors or indoors. Prestigious, traditional and beautiful finish. he starting cost for a 30cm high bronze sculpture starts at about R50 000.00 and then the price will go up dependent of size and design.
NB: I will require a minimum of 3 months or more depending on how busy I am and the foundry work load.
This is a cold casting process using layers of fibreglass and resin with a bronze powder for the finish.Better priced but should be kept indoors or out of direct weather conditions with a cover .
