Commissioned by the Daughters of St Francis of Assisi, in Port Shepstone. They will be celebrating their centenary later this year. Their congregation was founded 8 December 1922.
They welcomed the portrait bust in Dec 2021 to mark the opening of their Jubilee year.
A Portrait bust (head and shoulders) sculpture of someone special - deceased or living - can be commissioned.
This is pure bronze - created via a lengthy expensive process with Moulten Bronze. This will last forever outdoors or indoors. Prestigious, traditional and beautiful finish. he starting cost for a 30cm high bronze sculpture starts at about R50 000.00 and then the price will go up dependent of size and design.
NB: I will require a minimum of 3 months or more depending on how busy I am and the foundry work load.
This is a cold casting process using layers of fibreglass and resin with a bronze powder for the finish.Better priced but should be kept indoors or out of direct weather conditions with a cover .
